Pastor Derrick, a California native, was ordained to the Ministry in 1991 and served two churches in West Michigan. In 2009, he accepted the call to plant a church on the beautiful island of Kauai, HI. After seven years the Lord called him in 2016 to the Denver area to pastor Coram Deo United Reformed Church.
He and his wife Debbie are blessed with six sons, four daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren.
Coram Deo United Reformed Church had been faithfully led by Pastor Carl Heuss since our beginning in 2003. But in November 2015, while taking a walk, Pastor Carl was hit by a vehicle and suffered brain injury. In 2017, with great heartache and sadness, the church honored Pastor Carl by declaring him Pastor Emeritus of Coram Deo United Reformed Church. Pastor Carl and his wife Susan have since moved near their children to the Dallas, TX area.
